Excerpt from "Mega Buzz: Love Affairs on Grey's and CSI and the 24 Movie"

What have you heard about the 24 movie? — Cary

MICKEY: There's a script, but the studio hasn't read or approved it, so any intel must be taken with a grain of salt. As of now, the movie finds Jack all over Eastern Europe, but particularly in Prague. Of all the cast members past and present, only Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) is being considered to appear alongside Jack. Further, I'm hearing that no effort will be made for the film to be canonical — that is, it won't necessarily be a "sequel" to the TV series. (Double-secret scoop: I hear it might feature a mole.)

From "Michael Madsen Heads to 24"

When you need a bad-ass, who better to call than Michael Madsen, who has played that role so well in such films as Reservoir Dogs, Thelma & Louise, Kill Bill and Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (er…scratch that last one)? Now, the much sought-after 52-year-old has been cast on Fox’s 24 as Jim Ricker, a character sources describe to me as an ex-military guy from Jack Bauer’s past. Meaning, of course, a bad-ass.

Ricker will pop up as the clock ticks toward the final hours of Day Eight, which is looking more and more like Jack’s last day on TV before he heads to the movies.

Ausiello: In the next three or four hours, something truly horrible will happen at CTU. And I swear that’s not a subtle dig at the horrifyingly awful Dana Walsh subplot.

Ausiello: The aforementioned horrifyingly awful Dana Walsh subplot is about to become slightly more bearable thanks to the fantastic Stephen Root. 24: The Official Companions

Since 24's clock is stopped until January 2009, why not take a look at one of the companion books of the previous seasons while waiting for Jack Bauer and co. to return to the small screen? I had the chance to receive review copies of Seasons 5 and 6 official companion books; each filled with goodies, interviews, less-known facts, etc. The Official Companion - Season 6 even includes a DVD with rare behind-the-scenes content.
