Episode 3.18 - Tabula Rasa: A young man is in prison as a convicted killer. A female corrections officer is very sympathetic and feels sorry for him and becomes a victim when he takes advantage of her kind nature. The man's birth mother feels guilty about rejecting him when he came to her, asking to be a part of her life, and feels responsible for the man he became. Episode 3.10 - Birthright: The team figures out that a serial killer who is kidnapping couples, killing the husbands and holding the wives captive until they misbehave then killing them, is the son of a serial killer (and his wife) from 25 years ago who killed in the same exact way. One of the original killer's victims escaped and had a son from her captor. • In the third episode of the season, titled "Children of the Dark," the team investigates the killing of most members of a Hispanic family. The family includes parents in their 30s who didn't want their teenage daughter to spend a weekend along with her boyfriend, a 5-year-old son, and their teenage daughter Carrie.
