- Professor Gellar, to be played by Edward James Olmos, is someone that all of Miami is seeking out. He becomes a big person of interest in some crimes that are being committed in Miami. They are probably the biggest crimes we’ve ever seen on this show. We’re going toward a different kind of serial killer than what we usually see. This is someone more in line with the Zodiac Killer…. He kills people with great conviction. This is probably the first serial killer we’ve had who thinks he’s in the right. Professor Gellar definitely feels like he’s killing for a reason, and Dexter is very, very curious to know what exactly that reason is, and to try to understand it in some way. DEXTER Scoop!

Here is a summary of spoilers release thus far about the upcoming sixth season of DEXTER.

- TV Line announced a few weeks ago that Colin Hanks was joining the series and will appear in all Season 6 episodes. He will play Travis, "a highly intelligent expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders."

- Hip hop artist Mos Def will appear in multiple episodes as an "ex-con who claims to have found religion."

- Edward James Olmos will play a brilliant and charismatic professor of religious studies.

- The series will add at least three recurring characters. Jamie, a fun Latina who relocates to Miami for grad school. Mike, a new homicide detective coming from Chicago. Louis, one of Masuka's friends who joins the team as a new lab intern.

- More intel about Jamie was revealed when it was announced that Aimee Garcia would play the character. Jamie, Batista's younger sister, will be the new nanny hired to take care of Harrison.

- Watch With Kristin reveals that Episode 6.02 will be titled "Once Upon a Time." The episode will feature scenes at an elementary school where we will meet a few street-smart Latino kids who may end up being recurring characters.

Here are the spoilers we have released in our spoilers chats over the summer and have not posted on the blog:

• The Season 2 premiere, titled "It's Alive," will feature an imposing Cuban man who is part of a gang and a Haitian high priest who performs voodoo. It also seems that they are recasting Cody.
