Lost

Excerpt from "Lost Redux: Wow. Just...Wow. We Finally Know What the Island Is"

More Four-Play: Just what you wanted (no?) a new four letter word that will be revealed in two weeks which is very important. If you want to play along, here goes: This word has no A's, one E, and as of episode 11 it will be clear that this four-letter word is what this series is ultimately all about. It's also the word that just might end up connecting the two worlds (the island and the Flash-Sideways Los Angeles) we've been seeing all season long.

Scoop on next week's episode:

* There's a reveal about Jin and Sun that will shock you. They are *o* *a*****!

* We'll see Daniel Dae Kim shirtless. (You're welcome, Josh Holloway, who lobbied for that. And you're welcome, world.)

* Fake Locke reveals what they need to leave the island.

* We learn that a female Lostie is "expendable."

* There will be a "package."

Bones

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Look Who's…Walking?! Surprising Glee and Lost Scoop to Make You Happy"

Derek in Charleston, S.C.: I know the 100th episode of Bones is a flashback. I know it takes us to when Bones and Booth first met. What do you know that I don't?

I know that there is drinking involved. I know someone gets fired. I know that this milestone episode of Bones brings lots of juicy backstory concerning Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz), which is what you're really asking aren't you? You are sneaky. All I will say is this: a dam breaks.

Aileen in New York City: I love Bones so much it's insane. Got scoop?

Well, rat poop is important to the case in the April 1 episode. Oh, something less gross? There are some really sweet developments happening for our Dr. Sweet (John Francis Daley). I'm talking something that makes you go, "awww!" or "awww snap!" depending on how you look at it.

90210

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Look Who's…Walking?! Surprising Glee and Lost Scoop to Make You Happy"

Mart223: Thanks for the cool plug for 90210! How about some more scoop to celebrate?

I give and I give and...well, you give in return, so OK. Gia is going to cheat on Adriana, and Naomi accuses a teacher of sexual harassment, but it's so not true. Also, things get even creepier (and life-or-deathier) with Jasper. Dun. Dun. Dun.

Grey's Anatomy

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Look Who's…Walking?! Surprising Glee and Lost Scoop to Make You Happy"

Maddie in Hollywood, Calif.: Grey's Anatomy is getting good again. Can you tell us about anything good coming up?

Get excited about an Alex-centric episode in the coming weeks: His brother coming into the picture is sure to make a splash. When said little bro shows up in need of some pro bono surgery, bits and pieces of Alex's past begin to surface—like the fact that his family hasn't heard from him since he arrived at the hospital. (Side note: First time we've heard of a character disappearing to Seattle Grace, eh? I'm looking at you Isaiah Washington and soon-to-be gone Katherine Heigl.)

Lost

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Look Who's…Walking?! Surprising Glee and Lost Scoop to Make You Happy"

David Park: Please tell me Desmond will get a chance to shine at least once in the last season of Lost! Where is he?

He will. You just wait. I can't really say much about it because it makes me so giddy (like butterflies coming out my nose giddy), but suffice it to say that all that lovey-dovey "Constant" stuff will be back. And you who love Lost's awesome emotional storylines will be very happy as the season progresses. In the meantime, we have this week's amazing Richard Alpert (Richard Carbonell) episode, in which you learn the four-letter-word that is used to describe the island. Make sure you come back to this section for my Lost Redux tomorrow night, 'cause we will have much to discuss!

Tim in Cookeville, Tenn.: We've seen Boone and Charlie, and there's been talk of other "dead" characters returning on Lost, but I've yet to see anyone address the most burning "returning character" issue of all: Will see Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje returning as Mr. Eko before the end?

Sadly, no. I'm told that he's the one character producers would have loved to have had on until the very end (and at the end), but way too much drama behind the scenes to make that happen. You've probably already heard, but Adewale did not want to be on the show any longer, and I hear things did not end well. So sad because Eko was amazing. On the upside, I can tell you that there will be at least one more returning character who has not yet been announced, and he's pretty major. Guesses?

90210

Excerpt from "Mega Buzz: Scoop on Lost, House, Glee, and More!"

Will Annie finally get revenge on Naomi on 90210? — Kate

MICKEY: Well, I wouldn't call it revenge (yet). But while Naomi is off making a grievous error of judgment involving the new faculty advisor of The Blaze, Annie and Liam will have a moment. We won't see the results of Naomi and Liam's actions for a few weeks, but rest assured, they'll be disastrous.

Desperate Housewives

Excerpt from "Mega Buzz: Scoop on Lost, House, Glee, and More!"

Desperate Housewives feels aimless at the moment. Where is it going? — Meredith

MICKEY: It feels that way, but by the end of the season, you'll look back on certain scenes with feelings of "a-ha!" For example, the death of a prostitute may not feel significant to the show — but it will when you realize who hired her and who her family is.

Lost

Excerpt from "Mega Buzz: Scoop on Lost, House, Glee, and More!"

Got any Lost scoop? — Paul

MICKEY: The fifteenth episode of the season, airing May 11, will be Jacob/Man in Black-centric, but don't expect it to follow the same pattern as the season's other episodes. In other news, when Sheila Kelley, who plays Zoe, told us her character is a geophysicist who works for Charles Widmore, we wondered: Does/Did Zoe know Daniel Faraday? "She does not... yet. So far she doesn't know him, but you never know what they're going to throw at you." Well, we did know that.

Grey’s Anatomy

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Bones,' 'House,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Big Bang Theory,' and more!"

Question: Thanks for the scoop on this Thursday’s Owen-centric Grey’s Anatomy. Anything else you can tease about the episode? —Claire

Ausiello: Look for a Mercy Wester who may or may not have already been mentioned in this column to get on the wrong side on Meredith’s last nerve. Also, two characters will have sex for the first time, there’s a wonderful scene between Seattle Grace’s current and former chiefs, and I predict a guest Emmy nomination for special guest star Sara Gilbert.

Gossip Girl

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Bones,' 'House,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Big Bang Theory,' and more!"

Question: There are pictures floating around from the Gossip Girl finale of Chuck at the top of the Empire State building. Any hints as to what this is about? I’m so curious. —Jaime

Ausiello: If you were smart, you would’ve asked me what happens immediately after that scene.

Question: I need Gossip Girl gossip. Please? —Alyssa

Ausiello: Jenny’s descent into madness will become darker and much more twisted. Some seriously effed up shiz is going to go down before the season is over.

Desperate Housewives

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Bones,' 'House,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Big Bang Theory,' and more!"

Question: Got any Desperate Housewives scoop? Maybe a May sweeps scoop? —Manar

Ausiello: Rumor has it Marc Cherry was toying with the idea of blowing up a house in the finale, but I hear he’s favoring a Plan B. What is Plan B, you ask? I have no earthly idea. That’s for me to know and you to find out.

Bones

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Bones,' 'House,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Big Bang Theory,' and more!"

Question: Thanks for all the 100th episode info on Bones! Do you think you can dig up any scoop on the upcoming return of the Gravedigger? Will someone else be buried alive? —Jessica L.

Ausiello: Sounds like a question for exec producer (and fellow Smurf aficionado) Stephen Nathan. “One of the Gravedigger’s undiscovered victim’s will be unearthed during her trial,” he reveals. “The legal battle becomes a duel between Brennan and the Gravedigger. I won’t divulge the outcome of the case, but I will say that we haven’t seen the last of the Gravedigger.”

Smallville

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Bones,' 'House,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Big Bang Theory,' and more!"

Question: Got any awesome tidbits about this season’s final Smallville episodes? —David

Ausiello: I have two, but you’re only getting one of ‘em this week: A *a*o* ****** *i** ***** **.

Chuck

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Bones,' 'House,' 'Gossip Girl,' 'Big Bang Theory,' and more!"

Question: You seem to know a lot about Chuck’s season finale (and I thank you for sharing), but do you know the title? —Lindsay

Ausiello: I think you mean titles. Remember, it’s a two-hour extravaganza. The first hour is titled “Chuck versus the Subway,” and the second is “Chuck versus the Ring: Part 2.” What does it all mean?! Hit the comments!

90210

From "Ready for the "Crazy, Mind-Blowing" 90210 Finale? We Are!"

What if we told you that—Spoiler Alert!—Annie was not the one who ran over the homeless man in the season-one finale! Shocker, right?!

After tormenting herself with guilt and alienating all her friends—not to mention putting up with Jasper's antics for far too long—looks like Annie's off the hook.

"The cliffhanger from last season will be answered," Trevor tells us. "I can't say it will all be good, but in one of the last scenes of the finale, you find out who actually hit the homeless guy—and I can guarantee it comes out of left field! No one will see it coming."

Sounds like an OMG-worthy moment if there ever was one. So who might the real culprit be? Trevor hints that everyone is up for grabs at this point.

"It is quite the season finale. There are a few scenarios that are mind-blowing—it's crazy," he teases. "I am definitely involved, AnnaLynne [McCord] is definitely involved, Shenae [Grimes] is definitely involved, my dad is involved; all of us have little storylines."

Whoa, back up. Could his movie-star daddio, played by upcoming guest star Ryan O'Neal, be the big bad?

Trevor teases: "The presence of my father coming into the picture, it's going to be a lot of drama. It definitely gets heated. He really does bring out a different side of Teddy because of their relationship, or lack thereof."

But worry not, because he promises the big reveal is not purely for shock value. "The writing is amazing and the cliffhangers are incredible. It will definitely leave you wanting to see more."

Yeah, he did say "cliffhangers"...plural.

Grey's Anatomy

Excerpt from "'Grey's' exclusive: Guest blogger Shonda Rhimes previews 'intense, game-changing' finale"

what is coming up is pretty intense. It’s the kind of finale that changes everything. I know people like to say that, wave the phrase “game-changer” around like a red flag in front of a bull. But dude, this year? GAME. CHANGER.
I’m not gonna tell you anything about it. Because I’m scared to. Instead, let me tell about a few things that are going to lead up to it:
* Derek and Meredith are going to have a very serious conversation that may or may not involve the word “baby.”
* Teddy is going to find herself fighting for her job.
* You’re going to see what happens when two Karevs get in the same room together.
* Callie and Arizona and Mark are going to do something dirty with pound cake. They were going to do something dirty with mini-muffins, but Broadcast Standards and Practices said no.
* Sloan Sloan comes back to have Mark’s grandchild.
* A 700-pound man comes to Seattle Grace and our residents have a hard time remembering their sensitivity training.
* Mer is gonna go a little badass and protective on Owen when it comes to Cristina.
* Derek is going to get even dreamier (okay, I only said that so Patrick Dempsey will come to my office and say, “Please stop torturing me” And while he’s in my office, he’ll have to then say, “Please stop touching my hair or I am calling security.”)

Bones

From "'Bones': You Ask, I Answer on the 100th episode, a little deja vu and a big wedding too..."

Bones!!!!! Please! Anything!!!! (thank you!) -Izzy

The 100th episode won't be the only hour in which we'll experience a bit of first season deja vu. In an upcoming ep, set at a rock and roll fantasy camp, Booth and Brennan will take on Foreigner's "Hot Blooded" -- which longtime fans will remember the duo also tackling back in year uno. Tamara Taylor (Cam) tells KTV that viewers will see Emily Deschanel (Brennan) sing and David Boreanaz (Booth) "shred on the guitar." Let's just hope this attempt doesn't end with Booth getting blown up again.

I'm worried about Hart Hanson saying some fans might be shrieking at the flashback ep. After the last finale, shrieking = bad. -Faythe

That's fair. However, when we talked with creator Hart Hanson, he certainly didn't seem worried about fan reaction to the milestone hour being unpleasant. "I think the 100th episode will be a satisfying episode for 'Bones' fans, not a dissatisfying one," he said. "And yes, sometimes I do unsatisfying -- well I hope not unsatisfying -- but dissatisfying episodes. Sometimes it's like, okay, let's stir up the hornets nest a little. [But with] this one, I hope it's a good, satisfying episode of 'Bones.'"

Will we ever find out who Gordon Gordon was talking about when he said that either Booth or Brennan knew about their feelings? Doesn't it have to be Booth? We know he's aware of them now -Katie

"In the 100th episode, much of that will be revealed," executive producer Stephen Nathan teased. "Many of those questions will be addressed."

Is the big wedding on "Bones" later this season for Jared and his fiance? -Hannah

Nope. Fans will have a much bigger emotional investment in the upcoming wedding and the couple involved. Cannot wait for you to see this particular story turn go down, so we can discuss!

Grey's Anatomy

From "Sources Confirm: Katherine Heigl Is Leaving Grey's Anatomy"

UPDATE: A source in Katherine Heigl's camp tells me that the actress was never given a call time to return to work on the Grey's Anatomy set after her family leave ended earlier this month. According to this source, Heigl's "calls weren't returned" when she phoned in asking when to report back. I'm also hearing that a statement may be made regarding this matter later this week. Stay tuned.
________

She's done.
This is what well-placed sources close to Grey's Anatomy tell me about Katherine Heigl, after the news broke that the starlet was "almost" gone from the series.
So why is she leaving? And how will her character Izzie Stevens be written out? Here's the scoop:
According to insiders at ABC and Grey's Anatomy, Katherine Heigl has been asking to leave Grey's Anatomy for close to three years now, and she finally got what she wanted last week when Grey's boss Shonda Rhimes and the higher-ups at ABC agreed to let her out of her contract.
"She's leaving the show," one ABC insider tells me. "She wants to do movies."
According to one of Heigl's coworkers on the Grey's set, things got "pretty miserable" for all parties involved and "they [the producers] decided to let her leave."
The show's ABC rep has no comment, and Heigl just parted ways with her personal publicist.
I'm told it is unlikely that Katherine will return to the Grey's set at all this season, and Shonda's writing staff is still determining how to handle her departure in the storyline. (They faced a similar dilemma a few years ago when Isaiah Washington left the series.) It hasn't been decided yet if it will be left open for her character to return.
Insiders confirm EW's report that Katherine was scheduled to return to the Grey's set two weeks ago, after taking maternity leave with her newly adopted daughter and also shooting a movie. However, she has not been back.
Last season, word spread that Heigl had asked to be let out of her contract, along with her good friend T.R. Knight, which led to last May's brilliantly executed season-finale cliffhanger in which both characters appeared to be dead. (It was revealed in the fall premiere that Katherine's Izzie survived.)
I ran into T.R. himself Saturday night at an L.A. restaurant (he ate dinner at the table next to me with a friend) and T.R. said of his current life (after Grey's): "Things are good. I'm happy."
He looked it. While T.R. has stopped dying his hair dark for the role of George O'Malley (and looks pretty great with lighter locks and a beard), Katherine appears to have nabbed up that dye bottle and went darker last week, as you can see in the photo above. Maybe it's all some kind of cathartic/celebratory Grey's breakup process?

Chuck

Excerpt from "Scott Bakula Sounds Off!"

We understand the story behind your impending return to Chuck is classified information?

Yes, I can’t say anything right now, except I’ll be doing two episodes. And no other guest stars this time, just me. I can tell you that!

Bones

From "'Bones': You Ask, I Answer on episodes 99 and 100"

WHAT? What is on page 187? :) Tell us! -@bugaboo628

What is on page 187 of Brennan's newest book isn't quite as important as who it impacts. It will shed a new light on two potential couples. I think it's safe to say it brings one of the duos a little closer together and pushes the other a little further apart.

OMG, you saw [episode 100]? You KNOW we are gonna grill you now. So, you think we're gonna like it? Positive for B&B? -@ChoeBe

I would say it's a good step for the show. For Booth and Brennan fans, it's quite a ride. There are things that might feel like a pencil has pierced through your heart. But there are also things you've waited years to see.

In the classification of the 100th best episode, it ranks at what place? -@lysaleelee

Picking a list of "best" episodes can be highly subjective, but in my opinion, the 100th is one of the best hours the series has done to date... though there are some annoying continuity issues. However, even with those problems, it's easily one of the most important episodes for B&B, both in terms of the past and the future.

So #Bones fans will like it? Or is this gonna split people? How "completely shocked" are we talking. I can't freakin wait! -@moviegirl11

Oh, I would guess that the episode is absolutely going to split fans. There will be those that don't like what goes down while others will respect and appreciate what the writers have done. I predict that people will feel as passionately about the 100th as they did about the fourth season finale... though that is not to say that the same people who hated the finale will hate this episode (and vice versa).

I'll leave it at this: My jaw literally dropped at one point, because I did not expect to see a certain something to happen. It's good stuff.

Bones

From "Ask Ausiello about the 100th episode of 'Bones'"

Question: Do you have any Hodgins-Angela-centric Bones scoop? Pretty please with a cherry on top? Also, you are my hero for the clip on ATV! —Miri

Ausiello: You will find out exactly how much Angela has told Brennan about her relationship with Hodgins in the milestone episode (airing April 8). Hint: It’s steamy!

Question: I am looking for any news, scoop, or spoilers about Booth and Brennan and a possible romance moving forward. —Mary

Ausiello: I’ll say this: After learning about the early days of their relationship, Sweets prompts B&B to make decisions about their future.

Question: You always get the best scoops. I think you should prove that now with a really good one about Bones. —Maxine

Ausiello: Someone says, “If we don’t work together anymore, we can have sex.” To which someone else replies, ”I’ll call a cab.” Is that proof enough?

Question: Any Bones scoop to get through this hiatus? —Ashley J

Ausiello: Episode 100 will give you a little more background on Booth’s gambling problem.

Question: Give me some Bones scoop, pretty please! —Sheri

Ausiello: You will see Brennan punch someone twice and slap someone once. And I can confirm that one of those two people is Booth. I can also confirm that there is some kissing, but I’m not saying whether it’s in the past, present, or both.

Question: Like many Bones fans, I am looking forward to the upcoming 100th episode flashback and the return of Eric Millegan as Zack. But what about Jonathan Adams as their former boss? He took a three-month sabbatical four seasons ago! Will his character even be addressed at all? —Jenny

Ausiello: Dr. Daniel Goodman does not appear, but you will see prosecutor Caroline Julian (Patricia Belcher) help Booth and Bones bring down a judge in the their first case.

Cody in Brooklyn, N.Y.: I'm still hoping Locke-Locke will come alive on the island and Un-Locke, if you will, is a goner. Any insight?

Carlton Cuse, take it away: "We've said dead is dead and we're not really going to go back on the rules, [but] I will say that there are surprises in store at the end of the series." That's what the Lost mastermind told us when I asked that exact question, and I predict they have something up their genius little sleeves!

Grey's Anatomy

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Finn's and Puck's New Lovers on Glee "Will Shock You""

Wendee in Beaumont, Calif.: With Izzie off Grey's Anatomy, I'd love some news on my favorite couple, Arizona and Callie.

Unfortunately, the honeymoon phase can't last forever, not even for Callie and Arizona. In the coming weeks, the lovebirds will face an uncertain future when they realize their long-term plans of coupledom differ a bit. (Don't worry, all will be A-OK!)

Lost

Excerpt from "Lost Redux: "Surprise!" You Won't Believe How Good It's Getting"

Why You'll Love the Episodes Up Ahead: After hearing about what's to come, I cannot tell you how excited I am about the final episodes. Things are getting emotional. In a good way. You might cry watching episode 11 (unless you're dead inside). And everything we've seen so far is starting to feel like a warm-up. Get ready!

What the Island Is: For a couple weeks now, I've been teasing that a four-letter word will be used to describe the Island. It has an O and no A's or E's. Your final clue is this: You'll learn that word next week! Episode number nine is Richard Alpert's (Nestor Carbonell) backstory and it is not to be missed.

What Else You Need to Know (Spoilers Ahead!):

  • Someone we have not yet met will have an important message for Hurley next week.
  • Fake Locke is going to tell Jin how he plans to get off the Island, and it's pretty juicy!
  • There is a "package" up ahead that might be the most butterfly-inducing reveal so far this season.

Bones

I'm going through Bones withdrawal. Got any scoop to tide me over until April? — Maria

ADAM: The landmark 100th episode reveals all sorts of tidbits about Booth and Brennan's past, but it's the present that really matters. After a trip down memory lane and at least one kiss, both characters will make a definitive decision about their future together — both personally and professionally.

Grey's Anatomy

From "Jesse Williams Thrilled to Return to Grey's"

Though not yet known if he will be a series regular, a Grey's Anatomy rep has confirmed to me that Jesse Williams will be back for the 2010-11 season as Jackson Avery. When I congratulated Jesse on the exciting news, he told me he was hearing it for the first time.

“That is good news,” said the elated star. “I did not know that. I mean I had fingers crossed. They said, ‘We feel great about you.’ It was everything but the word.”

Even if Jesse’s surprised, I’m not. He has broken out from the Mercy West pact as a romantic figure with real potential to stir up trouble in future seasons.

“I can’t pretend I didn’t notice the amount of time and energy they invested in the character,” says Jesse. “I’m totally excited!”

Jesse has intentionally avoided discussing his potential future on the show with his friends who play the other three Mercy Westers – Robert Baker (Dr. Charles Percy), Nora Zehetner (Dr. Reed Adamson) and Sarah Drew (Dr. April Kepner). “I was only guaranteed to be in a couple episodes, so we’ve all been playing the cards we’re dealt every week,” he says. “We’ve had an allegiance to each other. I’m sure we’re all thinking about (the future) because it’s a terrific job to have, but there’s no discussions, like, ‘Say, did you hear anything? Are you around next week?’ What’s the buzz?’ That would drive us nuts because the last thing you want is one person’s success to be another’s downfall.”

How I Met Your Mother

From "'HIMYM' scoop: 'Stella' returns!"

How I Met Your Mother is looking for someone to play Stella — well, someone to play someone playing Stella in a movie-within-the show. It’s not clear yet if Sarah Chalke herself will be back, but the show’s looking for her bizarro.

Recall last May’s “As Fast As She Can,” where Future Ted told us what happened to the woman who left him at the altar: She and Tony (Jason Jones) moved to California, where Tony wrote a hit movie The Wedding Bride. Well, that hit movie is coming to the Mother ship — and Ted is not going to be thrilled with how he comes off.

Chuck

From "'Chuck' finale mystery solved: Find out what the [bleep] is going on in this photo!"

Here’s a second exclusive photo from Chuck’s May 24 season finale featuring — major spoiler alert — the first-ever music video by Jeffster! (The first image can be viewed here.) If you guessed correctly, pat yourself on the back and then read on for more scoop on the video and the pivotal role it plays in Chuck’s two-hour season finale.

“It’s the worst music video of all time,” declares executive producer Josh Schwartz, who declines to reveal the title of the song. He does, however, offer these two clues: The track was once featured in a horror Western-themed movie, and it ties into the episode’s big climax. “The way the original song was used in the movie is the way we’re using it here,” hints Schwartz. Adds fellow exec producer Chris Fedak: “The song narrates the action.”

What’s the song? What’s the horror movie? Speculate away in the comments section. And then pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly for more scoop on Chuck’s sure-to-be-legendary May 24 season-ender!

Desperate Housewives

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Chuck,' 'Glee,' 'True Blood,' 'Grey's,' 'Lost,' and more!"

Question: Any scoop about Desperate Housewives? —Julien

Ausiello: Rescue Me and Numb3rs alum Diane Farr has been tapped to guest star in a May sweeps episode that will flash back to Wisteria Lane circa ‘94 and feature the return of Brenda Strong as Mary Alice. Farr will play a woman “whose life has taken a bad turn since her husband left her 16 years earlier,” says an insider. “She has become a hard-drinking, abusive woman.”

Bones

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Chuck,' 'Glee,' 'True Blood,' 'Grey's,' 'Lost,' and more!"

Question: Thanks for the all-Bones AA, but how could Caroline have helped with their first case when Brennan didn’t meet her until the season 1 episode, “Man in the Morgue?” – Hank

Ausiello: Don’t you worry. Bones‘ continuity policy covered their tracks with one simple line, delivered by Booth to Brennan.

Question: What was the most shocking moment in Bones‘ 100th episode? —Diane

Ausiello: The one that prompted Sweets to declare, “My book is crap!”

Chuck

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Chuck,' 'Glee,' 'True Blood,' 'Grey's,' 'Lost,' and more!"

Question: I’m freaking out! Is there a chance Chuck won’t see a fourth season? In the meantime, can you prescribe some spoilers to keep sane? —Marie-Helene

Ausiello: It’s true that Monday’s ratings were terrifying, but Daylight Savings Time wrought havoc on all shows, not just Chuck. Having said that, exec producer Josh Schwartz was alarmed enough to alert fans via Twitter that “it’s time to get organized.” For now, I’m leaving the show’s prognosis at “a safe bet” on my Renewal Scorecard. On the spoiler front, Schwartz confirms that Anna Wu’s back! Julia Ling will reprise her role in the May 10 episode. Teases Schwartz: “She’s coming back for Morgan.”

Question: This week’s Chuck was awesome! It’s so depressing that it hasn’t been renewed yet! Do you have any spoilers to cheer me up? —Julia

Ausiello: I have it on good authority that the season finale will feature at least one significant death. Feeling better, Julia?

Supernatural

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Chuck,' 'Glee,' 'True Blood,' 'Grey's,' 'Lost,' and more!"

Question: Seems like a lot of crazy rumors are flying around about Supernatural’s big 100th episode — especially that bit about the major death. Please reassure my terrified heart that it won’t be either Castiel or Bobby. What would our boys do without them? —CY

Ausiello: There’s a death, but I wouldn’t exactly call it major.

Question: Can you give us some more Supernatural scoop for the 100th episode please? —Lizzie

Ausiello: Prepare to see Castiel like you’ve never seen him before: royally pissed off.

Ugly Betty

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Chuck,' 'Glee,' 'True Blood,' 'Grey's,' 'Lost,' and more!"

Question: I’m sad that Ugly Betty is ending. Will Rebecca Romijn be returning for the finale? —Renee

Ausiello: It’s my understanding that producers would like to bring her back, but there’s no deal at the moment. Speaking of Betty’s swan song, I hear Hilda and Bobby’s wedding — which was shot Tuesday — is a four-hankie affair. “If you don’t cry at least once,” an insider tells me, “you have a heart of stone.” Also, expect at least two huge developments — one surprising and the other, eh, not so much.

Grey's Anatomy

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Chuck,' 'Glee,' 'True Blood,' 'Grey's,' 'Lost,' and more!"

Question: I want some juicy Grey’s Anatomy news, not somewhat juicy, but very juicy. C’mon you can do it! —Sarah

Ausiello: We’ll find out in an upcoming episode that a major character — one of the original Fab Five — grew up in foster care.

From "Michael Madsen Heads to 24"

When you need a bad-ass, who better to call than Michael Madsen, who has played that role so well in such films as Reservoir Dogs, Thelma & Louise, Kill Bill and Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (er…scratch that last one)? Now, the much sought-after 52-year-old has been cast on Fox’s 24 as Jim Ricker, a character sources describe to me as an ex-military guy from Jack Bauer’s past. Meaning, of course, a bad-ass.

Ricker will pop up as the clock ticks toward the final hours of Day Eight, which is looking more and more like Jack’s last day on TV before he heads to the movies.

Ugly Betty

From "Betty: Bye Bye Braces"

Everyone in the world knows by now that her braces are coming off, but here's your exclusive first look at how Ugly Betty will lose her metal in the March 24 episode.
In the comedy's grand tradition of avoiding the expected, the procedure will not occur in a dentist's office, but rather at the Guggenheim Museum where Betty collides face first into a mannequin sporting a blinged-out million dollar bra.
"I chipped my front tooth rehearsing this scene - and it hurt!," reveals America Ferrera. "I thought how incredibly ironic that I mess up my tooth in the episode where Betty's smile is supposed to be perfect and there are extreme close-ups of my mouth."
A dentist was summoned to the make-up trailer to fix the star's chip, though on camera it will be guest orthodontist Kathy Najimy extricating Betty from her stuck braces. And who gets to pocket the iconic prop chops? "I think I'm okay with ABC keeping the braces," cracks America, "but I want the poncho."

Ausiello: The show’s just-announced, 10-episode fourth season — slated to debut later this summer — will most likely be its last. “That is the plan,” confirms series creator Sean Smith, who hopes to lure back some old faves like Charisma Carpenter and Michael Rady for the final stretch. “We’re all looking at this as an opportunity to come back, wrap up the show, and end strong. ABC Family could’ve ended it, but they gave us this opportunity and I don’t want to squander it.” Meanwhile, an ABC Family spokesperson insists buzz that Dilshad Vadsaria (Rebecca) is leaving the show (perhaps to star in a new pilot) is not true. Ausiello: I can confirm that in the March 25 episode Teddy will interact with someone other than Owen and Cristina. And there’s a good chance sex will be involved. In other (possibly related) Grey’s news, Leven Rambin is due back as Mark’s preggers daughter, Sloan, on April 29. (I can’t keep a secret — Teddy and Mark are hooking up!)

How I Met Your Mother

From "'How I Met Your Mother' exclusive: Arianna Huffington meets Ted and Co."

Let a new round of “Who’s the Mother?” speculation begin! And end: Arianna Huffington is not Ted’s future wife on How I Met Your Mother. At least I don’t think she is.

Rather, sources confirm to me exclusively that the empress of the Internet has signed on to play herself in the hitcom’s May 10 episode. Huffington will be a guest at a high-falutin’ New York party that Ted, Barney, Marshall, and Lily find themselves at.

In case you’re wondering how this somewhat random bit of stunt casting came about, Huffington is currently producing an ABC pilot about rookie politicians (starring Sarah Chalke) with Mother scribe Greg Malins.

Batt will play Spencer Cannon, a handsome soap opera actor in his mid-40s who Amanda (Becki Newton) tries to set up with Marc (Michael Urie). Batt is the second Mad man to guest-star on Ugly Betty this season: Rich Sommer (Harry Crane) shows up tonight as a fireman and potential love interest for Betty.

Batt is slated to appear on Betty's penultimate episode on April 7, but his role may be extended into the series finale, according to a source.

Lost

Excerpts from "Lost Redux: So Wait, Are They All Gonna Live Forever?!"

Nestor also promises: "I will not lie to you—episode nine, you're gonna get big reveals about the Island. Episode 15, even more so." Remember, Michael Emerson told us of episode 15: "It's set in a time and place that you will never have seen on a network series before. When was the last time you saw a network drama episode that none of the series regulars were in the episode?" My money's on Jacob and the Man in Black. But where are they?

Damon and Carlton say that Claire's son Aaron is "important" and "definitely figures into the end of the show." Damon says we "will see Walt in some form again." And they wouldn't comment on whether Kate or Juliet might be the mother of Jack's baby. "Big one," Carlton says. "You're good, though. You're very good." My money's on Juliet!

Soitenly! I'm hearing that Dixon and Ivy are going to fake-date to make Liam jealous, but Dixon is going to start having some feelings for Ivy. Oh, the tangled web young love can weave!

Supernatural

Kat in Milton, Wisc.: OK, so this is probably a false rumor, but I'm going to ask about it anyway. The rumor is that we will see Jo, Bela and Ruby all making an appearance in Supernatural's big 100th episode. If you could confirm this rumor or salt and burn it for us, we would greatly appreciate it.

An inside source tells me there will be "no special people" in Supernatural's 100th episode. So...crisis averted?

Smallville

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: The Vampire Diaries Stars Dish on Romance—and a Lost Return!"

James from Atlanta: Have you heard if we finally get Lois for all 22 episodes of Smallville season 10?

Details of Erica Durance's contact for next season are still up in the air, but I have it on good authority that we will "probably" see Lois "more than usual" on Smallville next year.

Hamilton in Brentwood, Tenn.: Is this Chloe's last season on Smallville?

All I can tell you is that there is no deal yet for Allison Mack to return to Smallville next year. That could change at any time, but nothing so far...

Ruth in Boise, Idaho: Is it true Gil Bellows is coming to Smallville? I loved him on Ally McBeal!

Yes, he is, and he is still evil (though not because of a brain tumor this time--sigh, remember those days?!). He's playing Maxwell Lord for two episodes this season, per my sources. Hey, maybe he can go replace Rob Lowe on Brothers & Sisters and be Calista's new squeeze?

Lost

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: The Vampire Diaries Stars Dish on Romance—and a Lost Return!"

Trudy in New York: Please, anything on Lost!

Check back for scoop from Damon and Carlton in tomorrow night's Lost Redux! But for now I can tell you we will meet Richard Alpert's (Nestor Carbonell) wife. (Yes, he has or had a missus!) Also, Zuleikha Robinson teases this of her character, Ilana: "There is a lot going on and yes, there will be some answers soon. I think the character is really interesting and she's definitely an important part of the group." We'll also see her interacting with Richard. Place your bets now!

Wendy: Is it confirmed what you said, that Ian Somerhalder will be seen on Lost again?

Yes, and see what he says about it in the video clip at top. He's hoping to meet up with Maggie Grace, and wants a better ending for Boone. Don't. We. All. (Maybe in the flash-sideways 'verse he and Shannon aren't step-related and can be together? Too weird? Yeah, probably.)

Gossip Girl

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: The Vampire Diaries Stars Dish on Romance—and a Lost Return!"

Deirdre: Any scoop on Gossip Girl?

Georgina has found something even bigger than Bible camp: Bleach! When we ran into her in NYC recently, she said this of her upcoming role on GG: "There's definitely going to be some stalking. There's gonna be a few changes to Georgina's appearance, so you'll have to tune in and see if you can recognize me." When we guessed she was going blond, M.T. just said, "I don't know," but from the looks of this new photo we just nabbed of her, I fear she may be going Single White Female on Serena's ass. Run for you life, "S"!

Desperate Housewives

From "'Desperate Housewives' scoop: A happy ending for Katherine and Robin?"

News that ABC is looking to transfer Desperate Housewives‘ Dana Delany to a new procedural next season would seem to suggest that her late-in-life-lesbian alter ego, Katherine, is headed straight off Wisteria Lane. But that may not necessarily be the case.

First off, Delany’s deal to join the cast of Body of Evidence is still not done. And second, even if the Emmy winner does sign on the dotted line, there’s no guarantee the pilot will become an actual series. “You never know with pilots,” Delany shrugs. “Many of them never get off the ground, so all this talk could be rendered [pointless]. But I am realistically hopeful. I love the [Evidence] character, so I hope it all works out.”

Delany’s ideal scenario has her headlining Evidence next season and making occasional guest appearances on Housewives. “[Series creator] Marc Cherry [promised] he would not kill me off and told me I was always welcome to come back to the Lane,” she says. “I would love for Katherine to pop into town and say hi to the gang every once in awhile.”

In the meantime, Delany remains focused on finishing out this season of Housewives. Does she think Katherine’s big gay awakening will stick? “This might actually be her thing,” she says. “It may make her happier than she has ever been. She does not have the best track record with men to begin with.”

Coincidentally, Delany’s current on-screen squeeze, Julie Benz, also landed an ABC pilot — the super-powered drama No Ordinary Family. For her part, Benz hopes the simultaneous bookings will result in a happy ending for Katherine and Robin. “I love the idea that those two may ride of into the sunset together.”

Grey's Anatomy

From "'Grey's' exclusive: Two more docs checking out?"

It looks like Grey’s Anatomy will be down two doctors next season, and, believe it or not, neither of them are played by Katherine Heigl!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Mercy West transplants Robert Baker (Dr. Percy) and Nora Zehetner (Dr. Adamson) are not expected to return next season.

There’s no official word on the fate of fellow “invaders” Jesse Williams (Dr. Avery) and Sarah Drew (Dr. Kepner), but there’s buzz both may stick around long-term. Grey’s boss Shonda Rhimes has until June to decide whether to exercise the series regular options in their contracts. (Here’s hoping she does; I like those two.)

Heigl’s MIA Izzie, meanwhile, will reappear in April. But for how long? Confides an ABC source: “No one knows.”

Ugly Betty

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Who Is Jack's Baby Mama on Lost?"

Isaac in Georgia: I'm an old-school Ugly Betty fan, and I always thought that Betty and Henry were meant to be together in the end. Any chance that's going to happen before the end of the show this spring?

We just talked with Christopher Gorham himself at USA's Character Approved Awards in New York and asked whether or not Betty and Henry were going to end up being Ugly Betty's one true pairing. He told us, "I always thought that [Betty and Henry] were meant to be together, but it's out of my hands." We thought he sounded pretty defeated as he said this, so maybe don't hold your collective breath for a series-ending Suarez-Grubstick wedding? Sorry, guys.

Teresa in Kentucky: How will Betty end?

I'm told that Hilda will have a shower in London, and Betty, Hilda and Christina all end up drinking together. (It was shot on a green screen.) So it sorta sounds like what I'd reported before might be true, that Betty chooses none of the boys and goes solo to a "far off land." Also, Justin kisses a boy.

90210

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Who Is Jack's Baby Mama on Lost?"

Diana in Memphis, Tenn.: I'm so ready for 90210 goodness. What's coming up the next couple of months?

For AnnaLynne McCord, it's going to be a lot of 90210 badness! We chatted the actress up at the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation event and she told us, "The finale is always brutal for Naomi. It's always the worst thing in the world. She has it horrible! The last thing of the finale is Naomi's face, and it's really bad. What happens to her is awful. So I kinda feel like there will be some downward spiral in a way for Naomi's character, but she's good at covering, so she'll still have that façade. But you're really gonna feel bad for her at the end of this episode."

Perry in Milwaukee, Wis.: Naomi and Liam are my favorite 90210 couple. Any scoop on them together?

Yes! AnnaLynne told us there's a lot of Naomi-Liam goodness to come on 90210. She said, "Matt Lanter and I have so much fun together. We love working together. There are some hysterical moments that I don't recommend 16-year-olds doing at home, one of which where Naomi shows up with a trench coat and, well, nothing else...'cause that's smart." Does that work out for her? "It works out! Oh, it works out quite well."

Pam in Kentwood, La.: I can't wait for 90210 to finally return, and I'm really interested in the Rumer Willis-Jessica Lowndes storyline. What can we expect?

When it comes to the budding Gia-Adrianna romance, you can expect tons of good things. Rumer and Jessica actually have loads of chemistry, and while their attraction to each other seems to develop a little quickly, this is one 90210 storyline we're fully onboard with. Adrianna and Gia bond over mutual sobriety, then music and movies and ice cream, and pretty soon, they're in young love. Before the two move ahead, Ade will question her sexuality and turn to her besties for help. The consensus? She's not gay, just has a connection with Gia.

Gossip Girl

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Who Is Jack's Baby Mama on Lost?"

Melody in North Hollywood, Calif.: What's the latest with Serena's dad on Gossip Girl?

I just talked to Stephanie Savage and will bring you couples scoop in a jiffy! In the meantime, "When you think about the Humphreys and Van Der Woodsens and that extended family that they have, [Serena's father] coming back really lands on everybody in a great way. It definitely causes drama for Serena and Eric and the other kids, and there's an adult component with Rufus and Lily, because there's some backstory there." And according to Matthew Settle, Billy Baldwin as Papa van der Woodsen is a great addition to Gossip Girl. Settle told us at the G-Star Raw event in New York City: "It's a great love triangle. Billy's got a great energy; he's a good actor. It's believable that he would be Serena's father, and he's a great fit for the show. It's really good casting."

Gregory in Minneapolis, Minn.: Will Rufus and Lily's son Scott be around when Gossip Girl returns?

We've seen the last of Scott for now, Stephanie said. "[He's] done for this season, but he can absolutely come back next season."

Lost

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Who Is Jack's Baby Mama on Lost?"

Matthew in Baltimore: Any ETA on how, when or if the two timelines on Lost will come together?

We can answer the "how" and "if" portion of your question with something Carlton Cuse told us this weekend: "We have two timelines we're exploring simultaneously, and when the audience understands how those two timelines connect, hopefully it will provide a satisfaction that will make you happy and give you what you want but not in the way you want it." As for that tricky "when," he'd only say this: "It's too much of a reveal, but let's say it won't happen until the very end of the show because that's obviously the big question of the season." Basically, plan on seeing lots of island Jack and Jack the Dad in episodes to come.

Marcus in Mass.: Do you know anything at all about the Lost finale? Anything?!

Those Lost folks stay so tight-lipped, but we did get show writer Elizabeth Sarnoff to say a word or two about the finale, and she gave us these: emotional and rewarding. "The end is really emotional, and that's what we're going for. These characters are the heart and soul of the show and we want to give them rewarding endings," explained Liz. Damon Lindelof, on the other hand, had only this to say regarding Lost's conclusion: "Water." And trust us, he was very serious about whatever this word means for the end. "It sounds funny now, but you'll see!" he promised.

Maggie in Helena, Mont.: This Richard Alpert episode of Lost can't come soon enough. Anything you can say about it?

We'll let Nestor Carbonell do the talking: "You're going to see mostly the origins of Richard in [episode nine]. They're going to tackle some of the present-day stuff on the island, but not much of it. You're going to get answers to why Richard has this sudden phobia of Locke and why it's as strong as it is." And there you have it.

Ghost Whisperer

From "Ghost Whisperer Cast's Big Tease"

This Friday, CBS’s Ghost Whisperer airs its 100th episode, and next week the stars will go to work on their fifth season finale, to air in mid-May. The stars and producers came together Monday night in Hollywood to celebrate their milestone. I was there too – and left with a goodie bag of scoops.
“’Explosive’ is the word I would like to use for our 100th episode,” previews star/producer Jennifer Love Hewitt, who also directed the installment. “There will be an unexpected death of someone you may not want to see die and this death puts everyone in jeopardy.”
This being Ghost Whisperer, you can expect this killed-off character (not a series regular) to return in some form.
The finale, titled "The Children’s Parade," will wrap up the season-long Shadows storyline involving Melinda’s five-year-old son, Aidan. “The connection of Aidan, Melinda, the Shinies (who will turn out to be the crossed-over spirits of children here to protect Aidan and Melinda) and the Shadows will come to a climax,” teases executive producer Ian Sander, with fellow EP Kim Moses adding, “There’s going to be a lot of action from the dark side and you’re going to have a lot of answers to some mysteries about the intersection of the living and the dead.”
Series creator John Gray will direct the episode, which he describes as “one of the show’s scariest. It’s basically about a haunting at a hospital by the ghosts of kids from an abandoned polio ward in the early 1900’s. They go on a march every night.”
Love adds that her spooked-out character, “will realize just how little she knows about what her son knows – and that’s scary for her. Because if she can’t see it then she can’t save him from it.”
Guest star Margaret Cho will be back for two more episodes this season as a teacher of the occult who works alongside Eli. “She’s going to help solve some crimes,” says Sander.
“She’s so amazing; so dirty and I love it,” raves Love of Cho. “We have so much fun together.”
Also guest starring in an upcoming episode: The Shield actress Catherine Dent as a boozy ghost named Laura. “It was really fun playing a drunk,” says Catherine, “because I could show up to work looking like crap.”
Love helming the 100th turned out to be a real treat for the cast. Christoph Sanders, who plays Ned, says, “she has a knack of getting us wrapped about three hours earlier than other directors. No matter how hard the day is, she never has us work more than ten or twelve hours as opposed to sixteen.”
“She knows all my week spots, so she protects me,” adds Love’s co-star and real-life love, Jamie Kennedy. “She knows I’m not a great actor before 11 am, so she made sure to shoot everyone else first before coming to me.”

Co-star Camryn Manheim got her own thrill during Love’s week behind the camera. “The best thing about having Jennifer Love Hewitt direct you is I feel I get some girl-on-girl action,” says Camryn. “She touches you, grabs you and tells you to ‘Get your boobs looking good, girl,’ in a way that other directors might end up with a memo from the heads of CBS.”

Supernatural

From "Supernatural Exclusive: Matt Frewer Cast as One of Four Horsemen"

Supernatural has cast another of the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse.
Matt Frewer — best known for a recent role in Eureka and for playing the title character on Max Headroom — has been cast as Pestilence, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. Pestilence creates and spreads disease.

"Our first brush with him in Episode 520 seems relatively innocuous and then unfolds into something more substantial," executive producer Sera Gamble said. "Put it to you this way: Horsemen on our show tend to think several moves ahead."

Throughout Season 5, we've met two of the Four Horsemen. War (Titus Welliver) and Famine (James Otis) have appeared, while the fourth Horseman, Death, has only appeared off-screen in one episode.

Ugly Betty

From "Exclusive: Two (possibly three) 'Ugly Betty' vets return"

Who says you can’t go home again? As Ugly Betty nears its April 14 series finale, it’s welcoming back, like, half of its former cast, including Ashley Jensen (Christina), Freddy Rodriguez (Gio), and maybe Chris Gorham (Henry).

Jensen, who’s currently employed on the CBS sitcom Accidentally on Purpose, reappears in episode 18, when Betty goes abroad to cover London Fashion Week for Daniel and runs into her exported Mode BFF. (Besides a semi-stylish wardrobe, our heroine packs sis Hilda for a bachelorette party with, I’m guessing, a tea-and-crumpets theme?)

But of course Christina’s pop-up pales in comparison to the return of Betty’s former sweethearts — well, at least one of her former sweethearts. Rodriguez’s comeback is a done deal. Gorham, however, remains a bit of a question mark. Last I checked he was in negotiations to return for an episode, but all I’m hearing now is radio silence. Something tells me we may not know if Henry’s returning until his actual episode airs. I guess a little mystery never hurt anyone.
